So on the I-129F form, question #10:

"Have you obtained a certificate of citizenship in your name?"

I am an american citizen, but do I have a certificate?? I'm confused

If you were born an Ameican citizen, you have a birth certificate.

So you would check the box for Birth in the U.S. (I'm assuming you were born in the U.S.) and then enter your birth certificate registration number, place and date issued, below that.

The part you are referring to is only if you check off that you acquired citizenship through your parents, this does not apply so N/A is applicable there.

OK, so this answer varies from the one on the example form for the I129F... On the example form it says to only fill if you acquired through naturalization... I do not know what to put...

Does anyone know for sure who has been approved with their answer??

Maybe the form has been revised since I did mine...my #10 says

"My citizenship was aquired through" (check one)

___Birth in the US ___Naturalization

Give number of certificate, date, and place it was issued

I simply checked "Birth in the US" and that was it... I didnt put in any certificate numbers and received my NOA1 and NOA2 no problems, no RFE's...

Yes, that is the same way it is phrased on the form now... I will just leave it blank...
