The War on Christmas

To be honest, nothing annoys me more than all the "religious" people in this country.

In Croatia Christmas is primarily a christian holiday and I learned to live with that although I am not Christian.

That said I LOVE Christmas season, I love the colours, the symbolism of the candles, of yule log and so on- in other words, I love all the symbolism of the Sabbath and that is what we celebrate as a family. I really don't care that everyone else calls it Christmas, I will explain to my children that the symbols mean something entirely different than connection to Jesus.

We get one present for each person, 2 tops for the kids but that's it.

As long as others don't get unto to me and mine about how we celebrate this season, I really don't care what they do with their time.

Who ever though of gift giving need to be hung by the balls cant we just celebrat christmas without gifts lol we dont give gifts at Thanksgiving lol.

I know some who do, and no one is forcing you to buy presents for Christmas

I agree in that I also just like the season, the colours, the real meaning, etc. It's all about the solstice, baby. LOL

My vote is that we do away with the Christmas Tree altogether, in favour of Christmas Standing Stones.
