The Average time to the Interview after mailing Packet 3 is 75 days. Time from NVC to Interview is difficult to average correctly since this includes time to receive and prepare packet 3. Those combined 3 will just get one MMR Vaccine shot. One month later will need one more. then the 3rd and last will be 6 months after the 1st shot.

Tetanus and Diptheria toxide
You will get TD vaccine shot.

What I recommend is that AS SOON AS U GET NOA2, GO DO UR MEDICAL EXAM EITHER AT BNH OR Bumrungrad Hospital. THAT WAY THERE IS AT LEAST 60% OF CHANCE U DONE WITH THE IMMUNIZATION /VACCINATION BEFORE GOING TO THE USA. IF U WANNA MAKE IT 100%, GO DO THE MEDICAL EXAM AS SOON AS U GET THE NOA 1.
THAT WAY U WILL ALREADY KNOW WHAT VACCINE U'LL NEED AND U CAN HAVE CLEAR MIND FROM THE START.(U DONT NEED THE INTERVIEW LETTER TO DO THE EXAM)

Note: Go get the vaccinations before the medical exam to save on costs. Bumrungrad is more like a hotel than a hospital. It's extravagant. As such, the prices are extravagant as well. Get the list of vaccination requirements from the NVC website. Take that to the local hospital and have the vaccinations administered and vaccination record updated there.(TB)
Cheap and good hotels near the Consulate? Take the Skytrain from this hotel to the embassy's Skytrain stop which is only two or three stops from the hotel. You can e-mail the hotel for reservations WITHOUT credit card guarantee but don't abuse this arrangement. Contact the hotel if you must cancel your reservation. http://www.bangkokhotels.info/honey.htm Go to the website and then click on thier e-mail address: honeyho@ksc.th.com

Harder to locate by taxis but almost as close to embassy is: http://www.bourbonstbkk.com

This one is located on Sukhumvit, soi 4. It is not a place to stay if your fiancee is with you as the girly clubs are located in the same soi.

More info. at: http://www.bangkokbob.net/hotels.htm

Another thing to remember is that most hotels offer a "farang" rate and a "Thai" rate. It is often better to have your Thai fiance make the reservation via phone in her name rather than book online.
Additional Info? Please Be advised that you can come to the Embassy with your fiance or spouse on there interview day,you just can't go up with them when they are being interviewed, you can hear the whole interview as well as everyone else's it's a wide open room with plenty of seats.

"REQUIREMENT Photos for Medical form say " THREE 1 x 1 1/2inch" ,BUT WHEN MY WIFE WENT TO Bumrungrad Hospital ON MARCH 7,2009, THEY NEEDED ONLY ONE PHOTO. MEDICAL TOOK ABOUT BETWEEN 3-4 HOURS."

Police Clearance Service Center website: http://pcscenter.sb.police.go.th/eservice.php

As of March 2009, about 1 week* to obtain Police Certificate, *if Applicant has clean record. (Make/Keep Photocopy, in English, No Translation Needed.)
If you request the police station to mail your certificate, they send it via Thai Post EMS so you should get it in under a week. However, they don't send it until the day that you could have come to pick it up.

The police station WILL require proof from the beneficiary that the certificate is actually needed. They MAY ask for any of the following: (1)Packet 3 Cover Letter (Absolutely Needed). Letter from the petitioner stating intention to bring beneficiary to the USA (Possible, was not asked). (2)Photocopy of the Petitioner's Passport(Absolutely Needed). (3)Photo of Beneficary, (photo can be obtained on premises for a fee). (4) Copy of NOA2, original or email version (Possible, was not asked).

The Police Clearance Service Center:
Building 24, Royal Thai Police,
Rama I, Pathumwan, Bangkok 10330

Phone : 0-2205-2168-9
Fax: 0-2205-1295
E-mail : pcscenter@royalthaipolice.go.th

Update: Jan 2010, Was told on phone it would take 3 weeks to get police cert. at station was told 2 weeks(15 days) talked to officer and had it in less than 1 week for 3000B.

Note: You can use the NOA1 to get your police certificate. You do not need to wait for the NOA2. Remember, though, that PCCs are valid for 6 months only. Also, this is a FREE service for Thai citizens. The normal processing time is 2 weeks. Do NOT let yourself be tricked into paying for it. If you apply for the PCC too early and it think it will expire before the interview, simply request another one after receipt of NOA2. (TB)
