Miss fiance and I spent the whole week in Bogota to prepare for the interview. He had the lab tests don't more day morning. We got there at 6:30 and we 4th or 5th in line. He was out by 8 o'clock...simple! Physical with Dr jairo roa on Tuesday. They told him to be there one hour early which he was. The dochor saw him right away and he was out 45 minutes later. Always treated with respect and if you have your carnet de vacunas you can save 350,000 pesos. We picked up the resuits the next day. This time the said 6:30 pm and meant it. We got there around 5 to beat traffic and had to wait. No big deal. My biggest worry about the interview was the paperwork- not the questions. My father was our cosponsor due to my salary in pesos being too low. He had sent me the documents listed as support for 134 but since theyou weren't my documents I was nervous- what would I sathink if they ask me follow up questions about them? Also, I did not have everything as far as supporting documentation goes for my i134. As we were entering a young woman organized our papers and asked me for my birth certificate. I have my i129f copies so I gave her my copy of the birth certificate but she complained that it wasn't original and I had to conVince her i didn't need it. They let us in and from that point everything went smoothly. Our papers were organized again yet barely skimmed over. I was relieved they weren't so not picky about them! Our interview was with a nice man who is luckily had greeted as we were waiting to be called. He just looked like an american and I thought hey paisano! So I smiled and gave a small nod of the head to say hello. I was surprised to see he was our interviewer but glad he had seen us together smailing ando laughing as we waited. He asked jhonatan a few simple questions...how long have you been together, how did you propose, when do you plan on getting married, then asked for our pictures and proof of relationship. He only briefly looked at the top sheet and saw a picture of us with my brother in medellin. He asked jhonatan who he was and he responded with my brothers name and our relationship. Then he handed us back our proof, closed a folder with the rest of our paperwork, p UT his passport onumber top and put a rubber band around everything. He turned and smiled and said jhonatan was approved. I started crying and he was laughing and smiling behind the glass, then gave a thumbs up. 😁 As we were leaving a woman told us she had also beeneed approved although her husband needed to sent the acta de divorcio original. They were missing that and STILL got good news. Overall...this step seems like a formality! If you get your medical exams and bring what they ask for, and if you actually have a real relationship it's a piece of cake! 2022-01-09
