Ahh Doha embassy, it's definitely something. I'll begin this review with the point of contact in which the Doha embassy gave us the interview "letter". We received a very brief email after some time that the Doha embassy received our petition as shown below.
"Dear Applicant,
Thank you for your email.
You have been scheduled for an interview appointment on Tuesday 16-MAY-2023 at 08:00 AM
You may refer to the below link for details on how to prepare for your interview."
The provided link was just the 10-step generic guide from travel.state.gov. There weren’t any specific instructions for the Doha embassy. There weren’t any instructions on what to bring. There wasn't an actual "letter" that was official. Our next step was the medical exam so our concern was having the official appointment letter to bring to the exam. We had to ask in a response to the email. Luckily, they responded within an h... read complete review

Attended visa interview 11 days ago and was informed by the visa officer that my visa was approved and I gave my passport to the VO. I was told to wait for a message from Aramex to pick up my passport. However, as of today and after 12 days, the visa status on CEAC shows "Refused". When I wrote to the consul, I was informed that the visa is under administrative processing.
I am a little worried because its been 12 days and there has been no change in status. Can someone tell me how do I get to know the exact situation on my visa and how do I get to know if my visas is really approved or is it possible to go into any further processing expecting more information from me. As of now, I have submitted all required documents and the visa officer did not give any 221g form after the interview. He simply congratulated me and said visa is approved. Please let me know what you think about my situation.

The interview was initially scheduled for 19-Feb-2019 but embassy rescheduled it for 28-Feb-2019. Once the embassy receives the approved petition, they review it and send an email to the petitioner about the interview date as the petitioner or the beneficiary do not select the interview date. Visa fees has to be paid at the embassy by cash (in QAR or USD), credit card, or debit card (Doha bank debit cards was not accepted so I paid cash).
Carry only necessary documents (X-Ray and CD provided by Doha Clinic was not checked and they said it not required as they already have received the reports electronically). Reach one hour before your interview as security checks take time.
After all the security checks, when you reach the consular section, you are given a list and asked the arrange the documents as per the list. Carry only relevant documents. No need to carry huge folder with tons of evidences as you have already submitted them before and your petition is approved. ... read complete review
