This was the second time my spouse went to an interview because of delays with the medical exam. Since he had been there before with all his documents the interview was less than 10 minutes! A very nice and courteous Consular agent asked about 6 questions and said congratulations your visa is approved! A great experience !

My mother-in-law reported that the people were nice and she didn't have any issues with them. Her English is poor and she did not have a translator with her.

She received a 221(g) for

* A copy and translation of her original birth certificate (1952). She had brought her original but no translation to English.
* The original, a copy, and a translation of a name change where her original Chinese name was "converted" to Indonesian. She hadn't brought any of the name change documents with her.
* Copies of our tax transcripts/return/W-2s for 2022 (we submitted 2019-2021 and current pay stubs because 2022 wasn't available at the time).

They asked for scans of the documents to be uploaded to CEAC and then an email sent to the JakIV address letting them know the documents were there.

Her passport was returned and will be sent with the original name change document back to the Embassy through RPX.

My wife got interview just only for 5 minutes by the consular officer , he just asked where we got honeymoon, etc and that it she got approved right away. praise the lord.
