221g - CLU date & other questions

221g issued at Mumbai consulate on 04/02. Fianc was given a white slip that stated file was incomplete therefore undergoing administrative processing. There were no further directions and officer told fianc he didn t need to submit or do anything else and AP

would be done in 1-2 weeks. CEAC website shows the case status last updated April 04, and still says refused but the same message that we would be contacted once AP is complete displays. Is it normal for the case last update date to change while undergoing AP or does this mean it s been refused in full? Our petition expires 04/06, do we need to contact them to ask them to extend it so it doesn t expire while they do AP? Thanks all

Is it possible to reschedule Biometric OFC location and date in same country

Is it possible to reschedule Biometric OFC location and date in same country? I mean if I book OFC slot at one city for Biometrics for May and in case Biometric OFC slot will be available for another city for April, can I reschedule Biometrics from first city May date to second city date in April (which is preferable location for me)?

I hope this rescheduling Biometrics date and location will not affect the Consular appointment date scheduled by NVC for CR1 visa. Really appreciate if anyone can clarify on this please.

PS: This is for India and we have different portal for OFC Biometrics slot booking than rest of the world.

I-134f Beneficary being his own support?

Hello all, we noticed there is a box where the beneficiary can check to be their own financial sponsor. I am currently back to work after having been unemployed for about 8 months this year. I have worked in the same career field for 8 years and this break which occurred due to medical reasons, was the first gap in employment I had in such time. Nearly all

but a few thousand dollars of my savings was eaten up during this time. My tax return meets the minimum guidelines but just barely since it was only 4 months worth of salary. On the other hand, my beneficiary has assets worth roughly 150k usd, as well as ~90k usd in his savings. We are thinking having him apply as being responsible party as the beneficiary for the k-1 visa portion might be a better option in our case. Does anyone know is this possible and if there are requirements he would need to meet in order to do this? Thank you!

I-864 Rejected for spouse

Background: My wife (USC) file petitioned for her mom and dad. USCIS approved both applications and now at NVC. My wife submitted her I-864 separate for her parents. Since me and my wife file our taxes jointly, she listed me as "household member" whose income was included as part of AOS.

Latest: NVC approved my father-in-law's (wife's dad) application but my mother-in-law's (wife's mom) application marked as missing document. They asked me to fill-out I-864 and submit AOS as "Household member". I submitted AOS documents including I-864 but they rejected again with the same message as earlier. I am totally clueless what exactly I am doing wrong here and what exactly NVC is asking us to do.

CEAC message text:

<husband's name> Form I-864A is missing. Please add <Deleted>as a Household Member in CEAC and upload all documents under their name. Please visit https://www.uscis.gov/i-864a to complete this form. FINANCIAL SPONSORSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES: Financial sponsors, joint sponsors, and applicants should be aware of responsibilities when signing an I-864 and the consequences for a sponsored immigrant's acceptance of federal means-tested public benefits. For more information visit https://nvc.state.gov/aos.

NOTE: Exact same above mentioned message was sent when I did not attach AOS documents for myself earlier and then got the same message after I submitted my I-864 AOS document.

Please help what I am doing wrong here and how can I fix this?

PS: We are making well above financial guideline to sponsor family relative.
