I havent file for the N-400 yet. But I will when I'm about to clock 3years maybe that will speed up my I751

If you came on a marriage-based visa and your still married to yuor original spouse you are eligible to file your N-400 beginning 90 days before the expiration of your extension letter.  This will force adjudication of your I-751.  In most cases USCIS will schedule a single interview for both the I-751 and N-400 at the same time.  I would encourage you to file your N-400 as soon as you reach the 90 day window.

Good luck!

I've heard that filing N-400 doesn't necessarily speed things up for the I751. It depends on the wait time and availability of USCIS resource for the local office where you file the N-400. Do know that N-400 is adjudicated by a different department from i751.  They can get your N-400 started and u can go through all the processes but i've seen and heard from several people that filing won't necessarily speed things up for the I751. You can certainly try that but i think USCIS is just a waiting game that we all don't like but we kinda have to to get what we need. I almost did that myself but decided to wait a little longer ( i was thinking perhaps a month). Alas my I751 got approved 2 weeks later at this time is was 17.5 months in waiting.

Also if your filing station is the California Service Center - they are sloowwww - their processing time is 17.5 - 19months per the USCIS website. Vermont Service center is much faster i believe. (12 - 15.5 months)

How long have you been waiting?

I submit my i751 on 04-18-3018 received next day still no noa no check cashed in vermount any suggestion friends am to worried, ITS ALMOST MONTH NOW STILL NO REPLY NO CHECK CASHED NO NOA. Pls give me any suggestions

Hi Johnyjohny,

I wouldn't worry that much. Just make sure you have a receipt/proof that you mailed the ROC. Service centers are making their way to issue NOA's, biometrics documentation and review cases slowly but surely.

My advise, just hang in there a little longer and if you don't hear in the next 2 or 3 weeks. Call the 800 number to make sure. I'm sure they will get to it soon!

I hope this helps!
