I was wondering if it was okay/possible to call USCIS to see if they received my I-129F form?  I had gotten the mail certified but for some reason I can't find it.  I was worried that it might not have been delivered to their office.

when did you submit it?

i know it takes much longer, just wanted to double check receipt of application more than anything else

There's certainly no harm in calling to see if they received it. There may be a back log in the mail room or some other cause for not yet receiving the notification. Did you sign up to have e-mail/text notification? If I were you, I would give them a call on Tuesday.

Did you pay by check? You can see if it was cashed. Or if you paid by money order, many times the issuer of it has a means to track if it has been redeemed or not.

Yeah I did sign up for e-mail/text notification.  I probably will call on Tuesday.

So they didn't process it yet and it's unlikely to be in their system yet. It's only been a week so that's not unheard of.

Nope, check has not been cashed yet.  =/

Check is only cashed once your case is processed by lockbox location and sent to CSC. If they notice a flaw in the initial application, they will return the check to you, allowing you to reapply without double the fee. Total time for this can definitely be longer than a week. That's what happened to us.

Ooo thanks, I got a little bit worried for a second.  Also figure since its labor day weekend things could be running a bit slower.
