Sent wrong (old) fees (I-130, I-485, I-765 and I-131)

I had the AOS Package (I-130, I-485, I-765 and I-131) ready since December 20th and didn't notice the fees change. Sent the package January 3rd through express mail and later in the evening noticed the fee change.

Been on the phone with USPS trying to intercept the mail however they failed (even tough they said it will be done and returned to me).

The package was delivered just a minutes ago. What should I be expecting and how can I fix this?

Thank you

It will be rejected and returned to you at which point you can add the correct fee :)

Dear All,

It's been around 28 days since package was received by USCIS, as indicated by the mail receipt and JC signature, but still no sort of answer from them. We did attach form 1145 for e-notification.

I was thinking that by now at least the package will be returned. Did anyone have similar experience?

Thank you

~~moved to AOS from work, tourist, and student visas from AOS family based.  I-130 is not sent with family based visas~~

Hi All,

We just got the rejected package, due to incorrect fees (we unfortunately sent the old fees).

We got the package wet, and unfortunately the bottom of all pages is slightly damaged from water, where USCIS printed a long 1-line number. It's the same number on all pages, only the hour differs (by minutes). On some pages is impossible to see what the number is.

Should I reprint the forms in the new format and attach the new fees? Or just send it as it is since they already have it in their system?

Correct fees $535 for I-130 and $1225 for I-485.

Thank you

I just saw your post, something similar happened to me. How long did it take until you received the rejected package? Did you send it back? Have you received any NOA after filing the second time? How long did it take after filing?

Thank you it will be really helpful

Hi! I am sorry to hear that, I hope everything works out!

I sent the package on January 3rd and received it back on February 3rd. I did send it back on February 8th and received Acceptance Confirmation text and email on February 24th.

That's it for now.
