hi. i have a few questions:

1. basically my husband had his interview at us embassy in Afghanistan on nov 27. its been 3 weeks..status hasnt changed. how long does it usually take for AP?

2. how do i know i was approved or not ?

3. what can i do ?

4. and at the end of the interview,, they asked him to give them his passport IF IF IF youre not traveling anywhere....

My husband gave them his passport. is this a good sign ? why did they say if you want to, give the passport, or you can keep it. ?? im confused.

Them keeping the passport is a good sign.

MENA countries, especially men from MENA(Middle East, North Africa) countries go through a rigorous AP. Some say could be 3-5 weeks up to 6-12 months.

Hopefully someone who has dealt with the US Embassy in Afghanistan recently maybe can give you more specific details or even time lines.
