Scheduling interview online and medical before packet 3 is received from Kingston?

Hello all,

First off, I want to thank all the VJ family for being so liberal in providing information we may need to be on our journey.

I'll be collecting my criminal record and my No impediment in the coming week. We are also working on our i-134 with all the other documents that may be needed. I've also completed my DS-160 (it's saved but not signed and submitted online). In short I have everything needed BUT I haven't heard from the embassy.

My question is: is it possible to go ahead and pay the visa fee and shedule an interview date online and use that appointment confirmation to do the medical exam at Andrews hospital and use it as an invitation letter on that day, or I need to wait for the Packet 3 and for an invitation letter?

Has anyone ever had any problem because they schedule their interview before they received packet 3?

Also, does anyone know what month is the embassy is at now for scheduling K1 VISA?

Oh no I haven't done so as yet. The form is completed but I haven't submitted it yet as I wanna double check or triple check everything.

Do you have your KNG number from NVC? You cannot submit anything without that number.

Oh yes I have all of that. Just haven't gotten the actual packet 3 but I read ahead and got all the other things done and whats not done yet they are in the process of being completed. But case number and receipt from NOA2 are both fine.

As long as u have KNG case number from NVC you do not have to wait for packet 3 to be received, you can submit DS160.

Following. We have our NVC case number too and the CEAC website says ready, I'm not that confident in the mail system where my fiance lives, so we also plan on moving forward without the Jamaican embassy sending my fiance his packet.

Hi,

I am going through the same thing as well. I submitted the DS-160 on 11/26/2016 and received a confirmation number. NVC approved the application on 12/06/2016 and the CEAC website states that the package is ready at the embassy. With that being said, we are all ready, given that him and I have been on the forums checking what we needed. His medical exam is on 12/23/2016 and his interview date is 12/30/2016. However, I have yet received Packet 3. I am still unsure by this forum if it is necessary. I am sending through fed ex the original NOA 1, NOA2, the email i received when making the appointment for the 30th, the ds-160 confirmation page, his passport, certified birth certificate, police certificate, certificate on no impediment, the completed form of i-134, and all my employer and my information. I also included updated letters of intent and new pictures from a recent trip he made to fort lauderdale. Should I wait for the packet to fed ex this package?
