Same here, we tried Xoom, and then found Transferwise had smaller charges and a better exchange rate.

remember the proviso for Xoom in tiny tiny letters... "*In addition to the transaction fee, Xoom also makes money when it changes your U.S. dollars into a different currency."

This means that it costs you more....

Transferwise gives you a genuine mid-market rate, and all it's fees are clear and not hidden.

e,g, Today:

Xoom USD = 1004.99 receive GBP 637.60

Transferwise USD = 1000 receive GBP 640.65

Xoom charges a fee and makes money on the rate - but don't trust me - do your own comparison :)

I use Xoom to deposit directly into PNB and it is quick, has decent exchange rates.

However, for non urgent bank transfers, I use Transferwise - https://transferwise.com. They are much cheaper and better exchange rates than all the other services. But the transaction typically takes a few days as they match up transfers. . Xoom's current rate for PHP is 43.2020 while Transferwise is 44.1771.

I've used and continue to use Money Gram. Always had a positive experience with them. If you use a bank account to transfer, the transfer fee is free, but take several days to deposit. Although I think they take a little off the exchange rate.

Never heard of transferwise and I like the exchange rate ;). transferwise may be my new sending money way :dancing:

Hebrews 11:6 - And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.
