I need guidence; AOS i485, interview in April 2015

Hello everyone.

We submitted the AOS package (i130, i485, i765, & i131) and was received 02/12/2015.

Biometrics already done 03/11/2015

Today, we received an email about i485 that has been scheduled for interview for next month 04/30/2015. We haven't heard anything about i130, i765 or i131.

We thought that i130 was supposed to be approved first, then eventually schedule the interview for AOS or to receive the EAD.

Is this process normal that in one month and a half we already have scheduled an interview?

If you need additional info, let me know.

Thank you,

Sometimes the interview is scheduled before receiving the EAD/AP card. It does not matter much now, since the EAD/AP are not needed once the green card is approved.

~ Moved from IR-1/CR-1 Process to AOS from Work, Student & Tourist Visas - topic is AOS, not CR-1 spousal visa ~

Thank you KayDeeCee.

What bothers me the most is that the i130 hasnt been approved.

It will be approved same time with I-485 after interview. That's why it is concurrent process.

We are in the same boat, guess it's better this way than to be waiting for 5 to 8 months
