Moving to Japan soon and I already called USCIS and was told I can submit his order together with my application for N400 for an expedited process.

Anyone here with experiences with expediting their N400? Waiting time when you did it?

There's no updates since I filed the request. So I did an info pass and escalated my case to someone who can actually help - section chief. I suppose to hear something next week. I'll keep this updated.

Thanks for letting us know about this. I read on the February thread that your interview was scheduled for today. Did that happen because of the InfoPass? And how was it?

Yes, the section chief personally contacted me and scheduled me for the interview with my local field office. Although I initially requested to be interviewed at the Fairfax location, because I was hoping to have the same day oath done on site. Anyways, I'm glad It finally worked out.

My opinion for the expedite request is to keep bugging the right person, until they do their job. Those customer services representatives/info pass ppl are REALLY helpless. I got in a big argument with this info pass lady I've been talked to three times. The very last time (I went up there 6 times in total) I had my spouse went up there with me, we insisted to talk to the person who is in charge, they took it seriously, that's how my case got escalated and expedited.

Good luck everyone!

My interview is at 10am.

I'll share my experiences once it's done.

:))))good luck

Well, I'm happy to hear that everything worked out for you! I can't wait to hear about the interview!

In my case I haven't requested an expedite yet, but I might have to. I haven't even received my NOA yet (and apparently it was mailed on the 24th), but the person I spoke with when I called the Military helpline a couple of days ago said she would personally print the Biometrics notice and get it mailed to me. Let's pray that it gets here this week so I can do a walk in biometrics at Ft jackson on Friday. Anyway, I think it's crazy how I'm supposed to just wait for the NOA for a month before USCIS "can do anything about it" (this is what I was told when I called the normal USCIS helpline).

PFLETCHER Congrats!!

We don't have our orders for Japan yet, but when I track my status, it says I've already been scheduled for an interview.

I want to get it over and done already because my husband's report date is July of this year and if I'd be ordered to go with him, I wouldn't have to delay it.

here goes my interview experience @ San Bernardino, CA for my N400 319-(b) case

Since I had my case escalated when I did my last info pass. the section chief of that office called me on the 7th,

and told me to go in anytime I want. So I picked the following day just to make sure I got everything ready.

So, even I didn't have the interview letter, people at the front desk were nice and expecting my present.

My interview was scheduled for 10am, I arrived at 9:55am, checked in with the reception, they called my name after about an hour.

The whole interview was only about 20 mins long.

The officer who interviewed me was very nice. He swore me in as soon as we got into his office, then we started the reading, writing & civi test.

reading: who is the first president of the US?

writing: Washington is the father of our country.

civic:

1.What is one right or freedom from the First Amendment?

2.Who is in charge of the executive branch?

3.During the Cold War, what was the main concern of the United States?

4.If the President can no longer serve, who becomes President?

5.What is one reason colonists came to America?

6.There are four amendments to the Constitution about who can vote. Describe one of them.

after that, we went through my application, I sign bunch papers......

boooom, that was about it. I got approved, my oath is scheduled for the 22nd of this month.

I know there is not very info about 319-(b) out there, I hope my experience will help a little.

good luck everyone!
