i have opted to take the cfo seminar in MANILA... i called SMEC Cebu and they told me to bring a lot of documents that we (Chris and I) didn't think it was necessary. when I called Prism (Manila), their only requirements were passport, visa and birth certificate and 2x2 photos. those were it.. with SMEC they told me to bring the following: income tax return of my fiance, visa, passport, birth certificate, cenomar, affidavit of support, and a certificate that chris is eligible to marry and was never married. i wanted to say ####### to the guy! but stopped myself.. good thing we havent booked a ticket.. so.. we booked a Manila flight instead...

we should warn more VJ users who are getting their CFO... go to MANILA INSTEAD... if you're from Cebu.. then it's ok. coz ur already there.. but if you have an option.. go to MANILA. :)

I attended the PRISM seminar on Monday, July 26 and brought I my original birth certificate and a photocopy of it. I was only asked for the following:

-photocopy of passport

-photocopy of visa

-Php 250.00 payment

If they asked for a 2x2 photo and a birth certificate, those are for the BDO form which you are not required to accomplish. Skip the forms if you want to avoid the one hour wait at BDO and proceed to CFO to get the sticker. You can refer to my blog for the process. PRISM messed up the spelling of my name - - - twice. huh.gif

Have a safe flight, Ainee!

duplicate post removed at the posters request

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

hhmm.. about to do my cfo in cebu.. i didnt like staying in manila as well.. had a really terrible experience with taxi drivers, and just people when we were there for the interview. so i was thinking of doing in cebu... since ive stayed there for 2 years, know the place and would have a chance to hang out with friends before leaving..

will they really deny to grant you the sticker even if you showed them the requirements they had stated on their website?
