Affidavit of Support Domincan Republic

Hi,

Little confused, our interview is next week.

I filled out the I-134 Affidavit of support already and have our paperwork ready.

I just read thru the instructions again from the Santo  Domingo embassy, it says

Under the Consular Interview:

Affidavit of Support: Forms I-864, I-864A, Federal tax Returns, W-2s and a job letter...

So I do not use the I-134? I fill out the I-864???

And if so the form is called "I-864, Affidavit of Support Under Section 213A of the INA"

Is this the form I need to fill out..

Even the first question is confusing...

Basicaly asking for me to select one on why I am filling it out...

If for a relative...

a worker..

part of a company...

Joint sponsor...

Nothing for fiance??

Any recent interviewees in Santo Domingo? What form did you fill out?

Thanks

Check out this link http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/Dominican_Republic:_After_Receiving_the_NOA2:)

Looks like you'll just need the I-134 at the K-1 stage for your embassy.

I-864 comes later when the foreign beneficiary files for AOS.

For my I-129F, K-1, AOS, EAD, AP and ROC detailed timelines, please refer to my timeline page :)

ROC filed on December 1, 2020, assigned to SRC, approved within 106 days on February 18, 2021.

My sincerest gratitude to all VJers, especially the late geowrian.

  • 2 weeks later...

IDK why the DR has the K1 visa classified as an immigrant visa.. therefore whenever  you try to get any info they instruct you to submit the forms for immigrant visas.. even though the DOS website says K1s are non immigrant visas..:ranting: it has me soo confuseeed!!

Please let us know how did your interview go!!

also how did you manage to get an interview within a month of embassy received? most dominicans I've seen get them 1.5 - 2 months post embassy receive...

Good LUCK!!!

Live, love, laugh.. and try not to think too much about USCIS
