AOS filed 20 days ago but haven't heard from USCIS

Following K1 marriage we filed AOS on Oct 5th, but we still don't have anything from USCIS. I just spoke to USCIS tier 2 officer. He checked A#, first & last names and said they got no information about our case. Said just wait. I have enough patience but the visa is expiring in less than 2 weeks. Will USCIS cause us any problems (if we dont get anything by that time) because my wife isn't approved yet?

Thanks

PS. I know it usually takes about two weeks, and some of you have waited up a month

The visa expiration date is irrelevant at this point. That was just the date you had to marry by or if no marriage occurred her return date.

It's only been about 20 working days. Has your check/money order been cashed? Did you send the packet by USPS tracking?

So many previous topics have been started and discussed on this. Please use the search tool

1. Check. No, it was not processed. That's the only reason why called USCIS and started this topic. USPS - no tracking

2. That's where I always dig before I start a new topic. the Only thing I found was this http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/484867-9-days-after-mailing-aos-no-response-from-uscis-and-check-not-cashed/ the rest is "post AOS interview"

Here is a similar-themed thread posted in this forum yesterday:http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/614328-noa-not-yet-received-after-17-days-should-i-be-worried/ Sometimes it can be hard to find such similar-themed topics.
