Getting Tax Return Transcripts, difficulty?

I've been able to get 4 years inc 2015 using the irs online tool. Anyone able to get furher back than this? I tried the phone # for such things and when i typed in 2011 the 'voice' tells me it cannot process. Later in the day i try again and am successful, at least it says allow 5-10 days in the mail.

It looks like you'll need to send in a Form 4506T for anything over 3 years old (2011 & older now).

How do I request a transcript for an older tax year?

Tax return and record of account transcripts are only available for the current tax year and three prior processing years. You must submit Form 4506T to request an account transcript for a tax year not available through get transcript by mail.
