I just want to share my interview today.

By NOC10 in Adjustment of Status Case Filing and Progress Reports

For the people who is going to have an interview and people who answer my question few days ago,

I want to share my experience today. I posted my question around 2 weeks ago. It was about my overstay visa will

have problem when I have an interview. Most answers were 'NO' because I got married US citizen.

So today I had an interview at 1:55. I heard about interviewers in my town. There are two interviewer one is man and the other is woman.

People around me told that the man is really strict and woman is really nice and easy.

After I heard this I hope I could have interview with that woman.

I went to immigration office around 1:30. Of course with my spouse.

We passed security and gave them my notice. We were waiting around 5 min, there was old lady came to us to follow her.

I knew it that was her!!!! Then we went to her office. She asked us our ID and do the oath. Before she started, she compliment our paper. She said it is complete.

She started ask how we met and our life together.

Such as who cook more at home, about my spouse's jop. Also I showed her our pictures. Then she asked me 'Have you ever' question then explain about greencard and citizenship.

After all she told us good to go. It took only 10 min. I was so surprised and happy and she didn't even ask about my overstay which is I asked here and most of people said

they are not going to ask about that. The interview was literally WOW.

I want to thank all of people that answer my question. That was so helpful!!

And I want to say good luck to people who start or started there AOS processing!

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

thanks for sharing. but i dont understand the last part where you said she asked " have you ever" question then explain about greencard and citizenship?

Same question on I-485 like 'Have you EVER been a member of, assisted in, or participated in any group, unit, or organization of any kind in which you or other persons used any type of weapon against any person or threatened to do so?' and about explanation how long it takes to get 10 years green card and citizenship.

12/29/2014 - Priority Date; receipt number starting with MSC

1/2/2015 - Fingerprint fee accepted

1/26/2015 - Case suspended - RFE sent out

2/3/2015 - Fingerprint done at Jamaica Center, Queens

2/11/2015 - RFE received - Case resumed

3/2/2015 - EAD ordered

3/13/2015- EAD card mailed out -- received it 3 days later

7/8/2015 - AOS interview ready to be scheduled for an interview

9/27/2015 - AOS Interview scheduled for Nov 3

11/3/2015 - AOS interview

12/11/2015 - APPROVED!!!

ROC (Vermont Service Center)

10/3/2017 - Sent out ROC package to VSC

10/6/2017 - Date on NOA (Received NOA on 10/16/2017)

11/6/2017 - Biometrics done

8/15/2018 - Extension letter for 18 months received

12/28/2018 - APPROVED! (No RFE, No Interview) 🤸‍♀️ 

1/7/2019 - GC delivered

N-400 (Queens field office)

1/22/2019 - N400 delivered to Dallas, TX.

1/25/2019 - Check cashed

2/12/2019 - Biometrics appt

8/26/2019 - Interview scheduled

10/3/2019 - Interview - APPROVED

10/30/2019 - Oath
