Hello to all,

I filled out Form I-131 for my step-child who is a minor (7 years old), she will be staying outside of USA for a period of 13-14 months. She has a conditional residence (CR2), and I need to know where I should sent the form to? Where is the filing office I should send it to?

Thank you!

has all the information you need. You will either be filing with phoenix or dallas lockbox depending on your location. (Dallas if you are in new york it looks like, but confirm for yourself.)

When does her CR2 expire? Remember a child also needs to ROC with their parent. They do not really get their own official letter however and you'll have to be able to get her a new green card if approved. I'm unsure if she would be required to be at an interview.

Thank you so much,

Her CR2 expires on 06/17/17. And she will be back here in NY on February 14, 2017. What is ROC?

Removal of conditions. It is what the spouse beneficiary will have to do to get the 10 year green card.

My husband and step-child both have CR1 and CR2 visas. I am the wife, US citizen. Do you mean that I need to file form I-751 along with the reentry form (I-131) for her? My child will be here before the CR2 expires, which is 06/17/17.

No. The her removal of conditions will be part of her father's removal of conditions when it becomes that time. The filing window for his removal of conditions is 03/19/2017 to 06/17/2017.

She will be back in time. :) No worries.

Perfect! Then I just send form I-131 with no other forms.

Very very valuable information you just gave me. And yes, she'll definitely be back in time. Thanks again.
