U.S. Citizen Petitioning for Sister

Good evening everyone, I need some help on this topic. My wife's aunt, an American Citizen, requested to bring my wife's mother back in 1997. From the looks of it a visa number has now finally become available for my wife's mother and the American Citizen was notified by mail. So the process is for the American Citizen to pay a fee online, which she has already, and submit I-864 which she is in the process of filling out. The DS-260 needs to be filled out and submitted online as well by the applicant. They called me for help because when they go to nvc.state.gov and enter the NVC case number and invoice number they see where they paid the fee for the I-864 and the applicant's name is there but where it says IV application it says N/A and that's where the link to the DS-260 is supposed to be. I tried numerous times with no success. Anyone here that might be able to shed some light on this situation? Thanks in advance.

Either the petitioner or the visa applicant can fill out the ds-260 but you guys have to wait for the Immigration Visa Invoice. I am on the process also. It takes few days after paying the AOS to be invoiced for the visa fee.

Did your aunt filled out and submit the DS261 Choice of Agent?

I do know they paid the fee last week. So the invoice is that an email they would receive or in the mail?

Did your aunt filled out and submit the DS261 Choice of Agent?

I was able to see that it was filled out, but it dawned on me this morning that if I was able to access it and their responses they might have only saved it and not submitted it. What do you think?

They probably did because when I filled out my parents' DS 261, they sent me an invoice to pay the AOS fee through email afterwards.

I believe the IV fee invoice will be sent in email as well. I noticed the NVC process most documents online and I've gotten nothing through mails since they received my parents' case.

If you are not sure, check on this link

https://ceac.state.gov

Enter their case and IN number. Look for DS-261 and the status should say 'COMPLETED'

It says completed.

That's fine. No need to submit it again. It will take a few weeks for them to send the IV fee invoice. I'm not sure exactly how many weeks. They will receive it via email.
