Hello everyone,

I am looking to bring my girlfriend of almost two years from Ghana to US to come live with me but we have known each other for 9 years. As of now I am a college student and will be graduating next spring and she will graduate this spring early summer. I have a couple questions. My first question is I understand I don't make enough and will need a co-sponsor that make a decent income. She has a family member here and I wanted to know if her auntie could be the co-sponsor and is there any forms I need to send to her if it is a possibility? I have already spoken to her auntie and she is all for everything. I just wanted to make sure it was possible. Another thing is My father has not lived in US for the past 15 years and my mother will be retiring early this summer and her plan is to move to Ghana ending July so I will be living with my uncle until i am able to afford a place of my own. I would like to start the processes for the K-1 Visa so my next questions leads to can I use my girlfriends Aunties address to do the process or do i have to use an address I reside at? I feel it would be easier to use her address since that is the person my girlfriend will be staying with once her visa is approved.

Thank You

1) yes the auntie can be the co sponsor... please have her to attach her tax transcript from the IRS to the affidavit of support ( From what;s floating around VJ the Ghana embassy requires tax transcripts)

2) The I-129F form asks for your mailing address

Make sure that you read all of the related guides. Well wishes on our journey :goofy:
