I'm making the thread for the people who are doing EP for AOS and IV civil document.

1. how are we going to know if they receive our document or if our AOS or IV is under review?

2. Does the "N/A" under "Affidavit of Support Documents & Financial Evidence" or "Civil Document" change to "in review" anytime for EP? :protest:

It's been 20ish days since I sent the AOS docs, still nothing happened. So i become a little worried.

I called the NVC, the operator couldn't give me any answer because they do not have any access to EP. :ranting:

So I was told the "30 days" period from the date I submit the document and the NVC will contact me within 30 days period if the AOS is approved.

Any answers would be appreciated. Thanks!

good luck =) :luv:

Hi Jen.

I don't have answer to your questions because my wife is in the same boat as you. She is bring her parents to the states (IR-5) . I'm helping her do the paperworks. We send our AOS package on May 27 til now nothing is happening.

Did you register/apply for EP? We send an email to NVC stating we want EP. We did not get a response from NVC. We did not wait for NVC approval and send the AOS package via EP. Hope this is not the issue, not waiting for an approval response from NVC!

IR-5 for wife's parents:
3-24-2014: I-130 approved
4-08-2014: USCIS sent to NVC
5-07-2014: Case recieved at NVC

I got my EP response yesterday as 6/10. they changed my GUZ number to GZO. Thats after 25 days since I sent enrollment email. I sent my AOS right after I sent enrollment, so I did not wait either.

From what I heard is once the number changes, I do not have to resubmit the AOS document, whatever the documents they have will carryover to the new case number.

two numbers are linked to each other. but after that, any other document should be sent under new case number.

I sent AOS on 5/20, still nothing yet happened. no IV fee either.

Submitted 261 on 5/20....but shows incomplete on 5/30 so resubmitted (big mistake) NVC's record now is 6/2 for 261, and will take 30 days for them to review and generate IV fee...

If you have any questions, let me know. and i will let you know once I received anything

Hi Jenny,

When did you send your enrollment email to NVC? Can I do it right after I get my case number or do I need to pay AOS fee first before doing it? Also, what do you write when you send ENROLL email for EP ? I'm super confused about EP processing for Guangzhou since the case number will be changed and some people are saying that I can just send my AOS package when I send ENROLL email, is this true?

I got so confused after reading OPTIN email and new EP system, but seems like you have done yours recently and I would like to hear your experience if possible.

thank you,

thank you,

jquan,

What I did to enroll in EP is: In the subject line I put case num# OPTIN GUZXXXXXXXXXXX . In the body I put in one sentence saying I want to enroll in EP. then I list the Beneficiary's name, Beneficiary's Date of Birth, Petitioner's name and Petitioner's Date of Birth. Waiting until you get the case number then sent the enroll email.

I received an email from NVC last Tuesday, the 17th, saying I have to re-submit my AOS because the some of the file I send was password protected. I think it was the Tax Return Transcripts from the IRS. :ranting: I re-scaned those and re-sent them on the same day, the 17th . So far hear nothing back from NVC. :protest: I'm not sure if my AOS is good to go. No email back from NVC mean it good. I hope!

thank you,

if you have not done so, please do not do EP, it takes longer than mail-in... trust me. It's been 50 days I haven't heard back anything from them; but I called thousands of times, finally after 20 days I emailed AOS, they told me they have received the doc and it's under review....

so it takes 20 days for them to receive; and 30 days start counting from the day they receive the doc...which means total for AOS is 50+ days!!! that doesn't include if you have checklists...

and I have not yet received my IV fee.. this process is insane!!!

but if you still decide to do EP, you do not have to enroll anymore. once you send AOS and they receive it, you are automatically enrolled and they will send you the new case #.

let me know if you have more questions.

I received a checklist today from NVC regarding my Form I864A, rest were accepted... it was just a stupid checklist cause I didn't put # of immigrants on page 3 of the form... how stupid was i? ugh!!

but hey thats still good that at least they got back to me pretty quick since they told me they started review my package on June 11. so that's two weeks from that date. but 35 days from the day i emailed the AOS package.
