Hello i filed f2b in april 2016 from dates for filing charts. My priorty date was 8/1/2010 so i could file in april.

I got an interview scheduled in september 2016. But my priority date is not current yet. I heard sometimes interview gets scheduled before priority date. Will Green card be sent after my priority is current?

In that case you might wanna contact USCIS and tell them to postpone your interview till your PD becomes current. They were not supposed to schedule the interview or even if they did the interview, they were supposed to just put the GC on hold till Pd becomes current but since this date of filing is new for them too, even they are confused and are sending denial letter. Several people in VJ got the denial letter after the interview because they said PD is not current. Some people went through the several months of lengthy process of trying to convince USCIS that the visa bulletin allowed them to file i485. Few people got their case approved once their PD became current but not before they went through those painful process.

So I would suggest tell USCIS that your PD is not current and tell them to reschedule interview only when PD becomes current.

@Tenreyro What do you think about this? I think maybe I should call too to clear things up.

That would be safer to request the interview after PD becomes current.

I just got the interview letter. It’s for June. But in the priority date section it is left blank. They should have put my PD. I think they mistaken me for an immediate relative case. We will call them and ask for tier 2 officer to clarify on Monday.

That's extrange, I look up examples of interview notices, and for IR it even has PD, same as the received date in their case.

After your comment, I’m also researching about an AOS interview letter format. This is strange! We will definitely call and ask about why. We’ll probably have to cancel our trip to do some Infopass appointments. But this issue is so important and need to be taken care of. I hope we can resolve this.
