I-864 proof that income will continue and USC spouse income

My spouse earned 60K in last 3 years. Last year we filed a joint return which is 100K+. She quit her full time job 4 months back to study for board examination. She plans to give her exam by July and start working again full time. Currently she works at the same place part time once in a week which totals to approx $1200 paycheck monthly. Based on this if I multiply her income by 12 months ($1200*12 = 14400) it's still not above poverty line. I make enough money to sponsor myself but USCIS requires a proof that income will continue from same source after green card approval. No employer will agree to write that employment will continue, they can only give information about when I was employed, my job title and salary.

Questions:

1. What proof do I need to show for "My income will continue from same source after green card"? What should I ask my employer to write on employment letter?

2. How much current income should I put for my USC wife and what documents does she need to provide?

3. Will there be a problem if her current year income will be much less than previous years? Does she need to provide any explanation letter with I-864?

Ask them to write a letter stating you have a permanent position with them, the amount you make, and that your job will continue after you become a US permanent resident.

The USC spouse should calculate the current annual income by multiplying amount made per hour times hours worked per week and then the weekly amount times 52. That will give the gross current annual income amount. She can recent pay stubs as evidence of that amount.

Your income, if you provide the proof it will continue, will be added onto the I-864 and combined with the USC's for the annual household income amount to reach the requirement. The USC does not make enough on their own, so you need the proof yours will continue or a joint sponsor.
