Hello.

I came to the states on k1visa and filed I-485 on March 12th 2015.

And I just received an email saying my interview date is on December 1st.

But I'm not in the states now...I'm currently back in my country due to my sisters wedding ceremony and my medical issue(bad morning sickness) until January 10th.

So I have to reschedule my interview date...

Should I call 1-800-375-5283 and ask if they can reschedule the interview?

Is it okay for my husband to call them instead of me?

Or should I send a letter to them??

Thank you so much in advance

Ugh...I just received an email saying my interview date is December 1st.

Sadly I'm not in the state now...until January...

So I need to reschedule my interview date and I'm so scared to do that.but I have no choice.

Does anybody know about the process???

I strongly advise you to find a way to make it to your originally scheduled interview. If you don't, you could be set back for many months.

Follow the instructions given in the "YOU MUST APPEAR FOR THIS INTERVIEW" section, toward the bottom of the Form I-797C, REQUEST FOR APPLICANT TO APPEAR FOR INITIAL INTERVIEW.

Good luck on your immigration journey.

Talk to them on the phone or schedule an infopass at your current location. However, it will delay your process - your best bet is to try and make it to the interview
