These questions are based on my experience when I applied for tourist visa in 2007 (I was still in college) with my whole family:

Why do you want to go to USA?

How long will you be there?

What places are you going to visit there?

Where are you going to stay?

Do you have family there?

Are you in school now? where? What year? (this will somehow be considered as one of the ties to your home country).

note: If you are working they will ask about your job and position.

You're welcome.

Just make sure you are prepared for the questions. Especially "where do you want to go?"

Since you want to visit NY, you can say you want to go and see Statue of Liberty, Times Square, Empire State of Building, etc.

I remember my younger brother was asked that question and he answered firmly that he really wanted to see Statue of Liberty, and the embassy officer granted his wish by giving us all the visa :)

Good luck!
