What's the best way to book a one-way flight from the Manilato USA?

American Airline is not letting me book online due to they don't have direct flight to Manila. The connecting flight, per Google Flights, is through Japan Airlines. But I cannot book through JAL either. I prefer online booking compared to over the phone.

Is it better if they book the flight in the Philippines through a travel agency or online?

Please advise...

Thanks!

I've been comparing flights through Google Flights and trying to get the cheapest deal. I could book them with PAL to LAX or SFO, but then I have to pay for their excess baggage with domestic flights.

Yes that will be hard, As airlines are getting more and more stricter with excessive baggage and charging more and more

I just booked one way for my wife on Travelocity. I know that part of the issue is the travel tax that must be paid in the Philippines. I believe it is 1620php.

I got 1 free bag with my ticket, plus carry on.

If someone knows just where to pay the travel tax, though, it would be helpful so I can let my wife know where to go in the terminal to do so.

Japan/American Code Share the flight. I have flown that a few times from DFW to Manila via Japan and Via San Francisco

What airport do you want to pick up your fiancé/wife at?

What Terminal is she departing? Some International Airlines have moved to Terminal #3 from Terminal #1.

I did too. But I'm trying to book one-way from Manila. For some reason, I can't do it in either JAL or AA website.

Austin preferably, but I don't mind driving to Dallas, Houston, or San Antonio to pick my parents up.

If u will travel from manila to lax better to get phil. Airline,

But right now it's showing $2k for both of them.

I'm wondering if it's easier to book the flights in the Philippines or here? If anyone tried booking in the Philippines.

I usually book with the actually carrier and let them figure out who they code share with, that way I don't have to transfer luggage.

Since American Airlines is based in Dallas it should be easy to get Jap Air to Japan and then American all the way to Houston/ Austin.

I have lately been flying Delta and have been pleased with them, they have expanded and have lots of flights out of Philippines direct to Southern and Eastern USA cities. Book a roundtrip and see if it cheaper than a one way, some times it is.

Only difference I have seen in booking from Philippines versus USA is the slow internet speed they have in Philippines.....

You should look at a booking site like travelocity. kayak, expedia, etc... I haven't had any issues booking flights that way and you should also check the rates for round trip vs one way, not always cheaper but can be sometimes.

I booked my mom's flight Manila-Tampa,Fl through CheapOAir. The cheapest I could find for one way flight($710). Japan airline and American airline code share the flight. So she will fly Japan air from Manila- Chicago(POE) then American air to Tampa,Fl on Feb.18th.
