Hi,

My Fiance is going to Moscow Wednesday for her K-1,K-2 interview on Friday.

This is our second time going through this, the embassy messed everything up the

first time. So after two years(six total)we are here again.

I sent all of the documents needed for her interview on 3-23.

They cleared customs on 4-2 and now nothing.

I am afraid that the documents are in a pile in the woods. Because the

postal worker decided to open everything on the truck to look for money.

Not funny.....It happens in Russia((

Everything is paid for, hotel, train etc, non-refundable of course)).

My Fiance is going to France and Germany for work on the 26th. Our four

month window for the interview to take place ends on 4-22.

Any suggestions besides calling the post office ?

Can she go to the interview without the documents and send them later?

Ed

Send everything again via FedEx Int'l Express.

I won't ask why you waited so long to send your documents. Email them to her and at least she'll have the resemblence of the documents. If they want original signatures she'll get a 221g form and some time to produce those.

Two years ago the embassy wanted certified tax returns.

I thought that I would have everything ready.

I didn't make copies copies.

Everything was sent late, because I was waiting for the tax returns.

It took four tries to finally receive them.

Personally I just sent copies of the IRS tax transcripts. I ordered those in July for a possible interview in September, back in the day. Good luck.

OK, I ended up scanning and emailing what I had copies of.

Tax returns, bank statements, cancelled checks and an employment letter.

Everything went well, they wanted certified tax returns (of course))).

Tax transcripts were in the package of documents......So everything should be ok.))

They did not ask for proof of a relationship....

But after the debacle, 2 1/2 years ago. They shouldn't have.

Russian post attempted delivery of the documents today!

24 days after sending 3-5 day express mail(

Moral to this story......Use Fedex!!

NEVER use regular mail for anything important going INTO Russia or Ukraine. Use Fedex for station pickup

You can request an extension to the approved petition if it becomes necessary and reschedule the interview
