MY VISA INTERVIEW EXPERIENCE

I didn’t sleep a wink the night before my interview. I was worried and anxious. I don’t want to mess up and God knows how much I wanted this. My fiancé told me before I leave that whatever happens we are not going to stop from here. Good news or whatever he wants me home safe. I don’t have to worry about anything because the promise he made from 2006 is still valid and if ever he have to do this over again he will. His words touched my heart and made me feel confident and at ease. It was a relief on my part knowing that there’s someone that would love me just the same no matter what.

ARRIVAL: I WAS THERE 4:00am DONT LISTEN TO THOSE PEOPLE THERE only listen to the GUARD...guard will assist u where to line up and if it’s time for u to go (line up). while lining up prepare your INTERVIEW APPOINTMENT CONFIRMATION, DS FORMS (photos attached), PASSPORT, BPI RECEIPT submit to the person in charge (he will check it and staple your stuff together).....wait till the guard ASSISTS you again to get inside EMBASSY ...

*REMINDER*

NO ELECTRONICS (IPODS, CELLPHONE, CALCULATOR etc

NO LIQUIDS (perfume, hand sanitizers etc.)

When we entered to the embassy building our bags and all our docs passed the X-ray machine... then proceed to the new building and

dropped our DS-forms and appointment letter at window, 39 I think... Got 6045. Just sitting and attentively waiting my number to flash at the queuing board I can’t help but chit chat with the other PL’s (super daldal kasi ako and medyo may pagka bakla talaga LOL). And soon my lucky no. 6045 flashed and I went for my finger scanning at window 43.

Then I was called at window 53 for preliminary interview . The Filipina lady looked really nice and because my docs are complete and maybe she is satisfied with it she didn’t give me a hard time.. I got my documents all set up nicely. She just asked for my BC, annotated MC, Notarized I-134, W2, 1040EZ, NBI and CENMAR. She asked me a bit of questions like if I was aware about my fiancé being divorced and I said yes and she asked me about my kids and if they are going to follow me to the US and when. Then she instructed me to sit down and wait till my number is called again.

Praying and waiting … then finally my number flashed on the queuing board for my FINAL INTERVIEW (window 63) The CO who was assigned to me looks very young and pretty… She looked kinda nice too.. She was chit chattering away with another CO when I got to her window, She goes “sorry about that” and smiled. She greeted me Hi! Good Morning.. I said Good morning back and smiled. She asked me If I understand English and I said yes ma’am... then she asked me to raise my hand and promise blah..blahh.. and I said yes ma’am.... then the interview started...

Q: Is your name Ma Alexandria.....?

A: Yes ma’am

Q: Is your fiancé Ricky.....?

A: Yes ma’am

Q: You have two kids?

A: Yes ma’am

Q: He got two kids?

A: Yes ma’am

Q: Do you realize you got to get married within 90 days as soon as you arrive the US?

A: Yes ma’am

Then she goes, CONGRATULATIONS YOUR VISA IS APPROVED AND CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR UPCOMING WEDDING. Please be seated and wait for further instructions. I said THANK YOU MA’AM AND HAVE A GREAT DAY! And she goes, YOU TOO and she gave me the sweetest smile. I was teary eyed when I got back to my seat. So happy and thankful for the wonderful news that I will be bringing home to my loving fiancé.

Then I heard my name being called at window 73… The lady told me that I have to give them an NBI with my AKA on it because I was annulled. I was shocked to hear that, knowing that my NBI have my alias on it. So I told the lady to check my NBI again because I believe my Alias was stated there. She looked at it and said oh, I’m sorry please wait till I call your name again. I will show this to the CO because she might have overlooked at it. So I went back to my seat and waited and waited till she hollers for my name. When I heard my name again I hurriedly went back to window 73 and she told me to wait again because the documents are sent back without any changes yet. I sat back down to my seat and waited again for a few. Then I heard my name being called again so I jumped out of my seat and started marching towards window 73 praying that she got it right this time. When I got there she told me to just wait till my visa be delivered at home.

THANKS TO GOD, TO OUR FAMILY, AND TO OUR FRIENDS, OLD AND NEW WHO ALWAYS GIVES US NEVER ENDING LOVE AND SUPPORT ... This site is really very helpful... "

Thank you so much everyone! Now I am spending as much time as I can with my family here in PI and preparing my self for a huge change. I will be coming to the US and would be feeling like a grade1 student with so much things to learn and so many adjustments to do. Regardless, I feel so happy and excited. I know I will be having the time of my life. The long wait will be over and Soon I will be in the arms of my loving fiance...
