So my visa is now in Administrative Proccesing. When I was done with the interview, my counselor gave me a website to check the status. I checked today and entered my passport number. When I checked it, it said passport number not found. Is it too early to check, it hasnt been a week since my interview.

Where was your interview? what website were they giving you? It probably is too early but who knows when the ap will be complete.

The interview was in the American embassy in Amman. The website they gave me was jordan.usembassy.gov/iv_administrative_processing

be thankful you have a website to look at... all we can do is call DOS ev week or two. AP generally lasts at least a couple of weeks but there isnt' a time for it to end it all depends on so many factors and each one is so individual that there is no way to say. Good luck and i hope your out of ap soon!

If your not finding it then i would say yeah its too soon. just keep checking weekly eventually it will come up...

Thank you. I appreciate the information. So there is one more thing. When I did the interview, the counselor told me i must provide more proof of ongoing relationship. Do I do this before or after the AP is done?

OMG do that now!!!!! they wont give you visa even if the ap is done without that!! get evthing together and submit it asap!!!

we also had to submit something our interview date was 15th of june and we submitted the documentes on the 20th of june.

are you sure???? bcos if they have doubts then u need to prove your relationship and while that happens ap is in process. Without that being done visa cant be issued. part of the ap process is to verify documents that are either missing or needed to issue visa. That would be the documents they are requesting for you to send....

did you get a 221g paper?

ive never heard of this.....idk...it's up to you but i didnt waste time submitting documents..and i doubt other ppl did either. your the one at your interview so you know what she said.... and ap isnt a time frame you can estimate.... i wish you luck

Actually you are lucky. we applied for Cr-1 in April 2010 3 months before u and you already have the interview. So, now you just wait on AP in embassy. Good luck to u. you will be together. incha allah

When you enter the passport number it says...

If you are unable to obtain the status of your case, please send an e-mail to ResponseAmman@state.gov and include your full name and passport number.

You need to email responseamman@state.gov and ask them why your passport number is not showing up. It has been enough time that it should be. From what I have experienced in the past, this embassy made me send supporting documents, they approved them, and then sent our case to DC. From what you are saying is that they are going to do the DC name checks before they finish your approval. You really should email them and ask them why your passport isn't showing up. I would do that tonight.

I have noticed that this embassy responds quicker when you email them a few hours before they open. I am assuming that is because it puts you near the top when they open their email.

I hope they clear everything up when you email them.
