AOS interview canceled by USCIS I485

Hi all,

This is my first topic here although i have read many traeds and find it very helpfull.

Im divoresed with 2 kids 14 and 9 years old, i got married on October 2010 filed AOS on Nov 2010 and recievd AED for me and the kids.

Recently we received an interview date ONLY for my 14 years kid and myself but not for my 9 year kid.

After a few days we got an interview cancelation letter over the mail (unforseen circumstances...) but the website still shows the original date.

I want to go to the original date but there is only an interview letter for my 14 years old kid and for me.

My wife thinks we all should go even though we got the cancellation letters and never got the interview letter for my 9 years old kid.

Our attorney thinks we should wait for a new date and he believes that the new rescheduled interview date will include all three of us.

The cancelld interview dated 3/4/2011 in long island NY.

I'm not sure if i should go to the original date (beacuse i only have 2 interview letters and we are 3 people)and i don't know what the officer's response will be, and if they will accept us and raise an issue on my 9 year kid with no letter, and on the other hand I don't want to wait and then God forbid get denied for not showing up to the interview.

Please help us solve the dilema.

I would visit on the original date, I have seen some get cancel letter, however office for some reason fails to note this, and the interviewing officer then notes a no-show.

Worse they can do is tell you no interview.

I agree with YuandDan. I would also go to the original interview. I read on here abt a month ago, a lady who also received an interview date and then got a cancellation letter, but she went to the interview anyway and got an approval...so you never know, like mentioned above, all they can say is no...Good Luck.

Me three. I'd go too and take the 9 yr old. They wouldn't make him stand outside in the cold, surely. Best case, all three get interviewed. Worse case you have to go back.

Am in the same situation.sean10 can u plse tel me,what happend when u went for the original date interview am confused now.my interview is on friday and they called my lawyer to tell her today.can someone plse help me?
