Really having a pure nightmare with this co-sponsor thing (both my fiance and I live abroad in the UK) -

Can someone who is retired co-sponsor us if the meet the income requirements?

Getting just a bit desperate here.

Yes, a retired person can be a joint sponsor. They won't have W2s because they aren't employed, but they will have 1099-Rs most likely if they are getting retirement/pension. You just prove their income or assets.

For the I-134, probably going to be fine in London. It has been said on VJ that the I-134 is really to provide support for the 90 days. Normally I only say things I've read straight from the source or have experienced, so that's why I'm saying the source is VJ.

The I-864 for AOS is more strict and I don't have any specific information on that. The sponsor could be in question because of advanced age since that sponsorship is binding for many years. But hey, any sponsor is a ####### shoot because anybody can lose their job and suddenly not have funds.
