Hello.....

I am not having luck securing a reservation for a hotel near the embassy in Bogota. The places I have tried are booked solid and my fiances interview is 3 weeks away. I tried the sites listed in the embassy info section of this site. My fiance is not from Bogota so she can't really look. Does anyone recommend a place near the embassy?

Many thanks!!

I'm not sure if www.welovebogota.com is on the list of recommended places. Many members of the Colombian Club have stayed there, including my husband and I and loved it. It's an apartment located about 5 minutes from the embassy and you can rent the master bedroom or the whole apartment if you want.

Thanks Diana....... the place you suggested is booked for the dates I wanted. I found some other places so I'm making a little progress. It will all work out.......

Someone else told me about Hotel Paris in Bogotá. They cater mostly to foreign families who are finalizing the adoption process in Colombia and are waiting for the embassies to give them their childrens' visas. That may be another option for you.

Hi, just in case you still need a place to stay... my husband and I went to the embassy last year and are going again today on 5/25. We stayed at Hotel Dona Flor #571-269-8694. It is a home with various runs, private bathrooms and about two blocks from the embassy.... she alwasys charges for two with breakfast $90,000 pesos..... here's her webpage...
