Comments : When I first went to drop off the I-130, someone told me that I didnt have to go with my husband and I didn't. When I got there they told me that this information was wrong since both my husband and I were not from Korea- the place where we were filing. They asked me to come back with my husband later. I wasn't able to do it until March 29th. They did send me a request for additional evidence to double check my husband's identity on March 8th.

March 29th my husband and I went again to the embassy to the embassy bright and early. They almost didn't allow us in and they said for us to comeback at 1pm, but we insisted and it turned out that we were right since all we needed to do is be seen by DHS. After sitting for an hour, the DHS window opened up and we submitted out names. We were then seen by Leigh Francis, I believe his name was. The same person who sent us a request for additional information. He was very personable and just asked us a few questions like- when would we like to leave Korea- what we are doing in Korea and the like. He then told me that he remembers receiving my email with the additional evidence and would set everything in motion.

As promised, we received packet 3 March 8th.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
