Hi, the reason ours is moving fast is because I'm very sick and needed our case expedited so my husband can help me. We waited for months to hear anything so i took action and requested an expedite. From what i understand is the embassy has started making appointments for for spouse and fiance visas but it's limited.

Good luck with your interview. Hopefully you don't get the asshole we got. We gotta go thru a waiver process now. So more waiting. Nice.

Hi Erin - I’m so sorry about the case denial!! And I hope your medical problems improve. What the embassy state as the cause of the denial? I thought the interview was mainly procedural and visa was almost guaranteed for married couples!

He got in trouble 5 years ago. Assualt on his background. We have to try to get a waiver. Hopefully that's approved. If not then i don't know what will happen with us.

I have a friend who went theough the same thing. With a lawyer she was able to figure it all out and they approved his petition

Yeah i got a lawyer working on it now. They said we have a good chance of approval. So hopefully i can get him here sometime this year. Still pretty bummed out. I hope you don't have the same issue. He said the interview was fast, only a few questions but because of the background thing, they denied him. Even though they know if my illness and that i need him here, they still said we have to go thru the waiver process. 😔

Ah im so sorry you have to go through this! Im sure the lawyer will help. Hope it all gets sorted very soon! All the best!!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
