Embassy Review : These reviews always helped me while I was waiting for my own interview. So I thought I should share how the whole process went for me.
My appointment was for 7:30, my fiancé and I arrived at the consulate at 6:55, we had been staying the night at the Marriott right across the road.
It was very cold waiting as they don’t open the door until 7:30, there was one group ahead of us in line, however their appointment was for 8 and they were told to stand aside while all of us who had 7:30 appointments could come in one at a time.
You pass through security first where they took my (beneficiary) passport and applied a sticker to it, they also wanted to see my fiancé’s. Then you take off your coat and purse and go through the metal detector. From there you’re given a laminated sheet of paper with your number and the order your documents need to be in.
After that you’re led into a room with a booth to take passport photos if you need them. We only had to stay in that room for a few minutes before a security guard filed a bunch of us into an elevator and sent us up to the 19th floor.
There is a desk up there in case you need to get your files in order. I was number 1 so I was called first to the windows to where a woman asked for all my documents in the order that paper said. She then took my fingerprints and asked me to go sit down again. After that I had about a fifteen minute wait before I was called up to the actual interview window.

The interview was very straightforward, she asked me to put my hand on a scanner and take an oath that all the information I was about to give her was true. Then she asked me a few questions, in order being:
What is your fiancés full name?
What does he do for a living?
Where did you meet?
Do you two still play video games together? (My previous answer had alluded to a video game convention)
She then typed on her computer for a bit then gave me a pink sheet of paper that said Welcome to the United States of America and also handed me a pamphlet for legalities. We were out of the consulate by about 9:30

My interview was on the 6th and I received my passport and visa in the mail on the 14th. Overall it was the easiest part of the journey by far.

Hopefully my review can be of some help to anyone else reaching this step.
Rating : Very Good

Hello, did you submit a photocopy of your affidavit of support or did you submit the original signed version?

I believe they only accept a signed copy, they don’t want it photocopied. But you take the affidavit with you to the interview, you don’t submit it before then

I will give them the signed Original at Montreal interview. I also have a copy. As far as I know we do not submit prior to interview.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
