Comments : 5-9-2006: Sent an inquiry to have the USCIS look at my case. They say that I should hear the status of my case within 30 days. We will see....
5-19-2006: Received a letter dated for 5/12/2006. Stated that they had to do further research into our case. They told me that if I have not heard anything in SIX MONTHS then I can submit another inquiry to the service center to find out about the case status. Talk about feeling helpless!!!!!
9/06/2006: They have now had my packet for six months. I was told that I should not have been able to submit the previous inquiry, but that I can only request that at six months. So, I called again today and sumbitted another inquiry. They told I should receive a reply withing 30 days. The last time it only took a week...we will see about this time!
9/25/2006: Still have not received a response to my inquiry....kind of nervous. I do not know if this is good or bad!!! But I am contacting my Congressman to see if he can help grease the wheels with the USCIS. I really need all that help I can get! I mean...almost everyone else around my time has already been processed, but we are still waiting. Keeping my fingers crossed and a prayer in my heart. Or trying...losing circulation in my fingers actually.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
