Comments : Crossing at the Buffalo Intl peace bridge was easy. The security guard asked my family how we were related and told him I was crossing on a K1 visa. We were sent to immigration building. I waited about 30 minutes and 20 minutes after my name was called I was headed to my hotel for the night. The immigration staff was really kind and cooperating with my family requiring to wear masks with their health.

Event Description

Embassy Review : I made sure I knew where the consulate the day before my interview and chatted with security to understand what was expected. Security was great and understanding and also pointed out where the lockers were to store my cellphone. My interview was for 10am and I got there at 9:10 and waited in a long line of interviewees. It was past 11am before I was handing my documents to the admin and around an hour later had my very quick interview. The visa officer was really nice, asked 3 questions and wanted to approve my visa if I had the right background check. He was understanding and didn't belittle me
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
