Jawoodus Fridah & John JFK 2014-04-01 - High 2018-05-07
Jilliannep Rishi & Jillianne JFK 2014-03-31 - High Husband got to JFK airport and went to the customs line. He said that overall there was disorganization but low harassment and things eventually got done. There was no sign that said "immigrants here" so he got in the wrong line but through observation, found out where he needed to be. He put his do not envelope on a desk and waited for the POE officer. He waited for about half an hour. The officer arrived. Hubby said the officer must have been new because he kept looking around and asking his co-workers (clarification) questions. Hubby said that the officer didn't really look at the papers. He said, okay, you are free to go. Hubby missed his connecting flight. 2014-04-02

Coreyjschmidt Olesya (Amira) & Corey JFK 2014-03-12 - High Airport experience was super easy. we were both ushered into the screening room, and had to wait a few minutes, then Olesya's biometrics were taken and both our passports were stamped and we were on our way. Maybe we were lucky?? After leaving the airport, NY was not so easy, here's a tip learned the hard way: don't stretch out on the floor and sleep in port authority bus terminal, no matter how long you've been awake already, or the police will become very suspicious!-better yet-spend the extra couple hundred dollars and fly to the midwest instead of going by greyhound! (we had been about a year in India, where sleeping on the ground in transport hubs is totally common)-- reverse culture shock!! 2018-09-06
