POE went super smooth. I made sure to walk fast to the customs area so I beat most of the people in line. I also told an officer managing the line that I had an immigration visa and he let me swoop it. I was able to talk to an immigration officer fast. I was standing in line for first-time visitors, by the way. There was a desk for new immigrants, but I did not go to that one. I told the officer I had an immigration visa and I gave her the envelope I got from the embassy. She took my picture and I got four fingers on my right hand scanned. Everything was fine and easy, but the officer did give me the wrong information. She told me I had to get married within 30 days, which is false. On a K1 visa you have 90 days to get married. Maybe she was new or something. Either way, the whole thing took around 5 minutes and there was no harassment. |
