David's recall of the events at POE: I arrived & queued up in immigration line. Escorted to "backstage-sort of bit" on the other side of barriers from baggage claim. The nice old man who escorted us (me and the other immigration people) said "Don't worry about it," and took us to the elevator, pressed the button for us, and gave us instructions on what to do when the elevator arrived at the second processing area. There, I sat around for a bit in a waiting area around another desk, and they did some processing before calling me up. Just asked why I was in the country, who I intended to marry, and the date of the wedding. Then took the sealed envelope, gave me my I-94 (stapled into passport) and gave me my x-rays back and said "just over there" and sent me to baggage claim. |

I was pulled aside to a waiting room. I waited for an hour, then someone spoke to me. Just asked the usual questions and then off I went. Would suggest DFW for anyone else. I think the guy on the original desk was new, hence someone else dealt. |
