ds & ff JFK 2008-03-18 - High JFK immigration was very crowded with long queues, very stressful when you have a connecting flight. Once it was my turn it took about 20 minutes to get thru...being that I had a visa I thought it would be easier and faster...maybe it was? Went thru JFK to get EAD stamp, and after having done so, I would not recommend this route unless 1. JFK is a fairly convenient entry point 2.You already have a job lined up...as most employers are not keen to hire someone that may have to stop working after 3 months for an indefinite period of time. If you need to get back to work, in my opinion it's probably best to just get on the AOS papers ASAP...my EAD came thru in 90 days. 2011-01-28
