I was in line for around half an hour, I was worried I would miss my next flight, but it was cancelled so time didn't matter. When I finally handed over my package, he took finger prints and a photo and asked me to follow him. I can't remember if I was asked any questions.
I was taken to another room where my packet was handed to another agent. I sat for around 15 minutes before being asked to go to another room with less people in it. After 5 minutes I was called to the window, asked questions about my relationship and wedding date and then I was handed back my passport and welcomed to the country. Although nervewracking, very easy. |

We crossed at Peace Bridge in Niagara Falls. The officer stationed at the booth was very stern and kept trying to mess us up. When we told him we were entering using my K1 Visa he asked me "So you two are married then, yes?" To which I said "Not yet". Then he asked me if we were going to apply for the K1 Visa - and I said "Well, we already did, and we got that visa there, and now we have to do the next steps"
He turned to his computer for a few seconds then asked my fiance to open up our u-haul so that he could take a look inside of it. No problems there, my fiance got back in the car and two seconds later he asked me if I had all of the paper work, and asked to see it before handing over a little ticket.
We pulled over, waited 2hrs inside the building and 5 minutes talking to an officer we were approved and continued on home!!!!! <3 |

At the first counter the passport officer was very kind, took our package and got us on our way to get our baggage, and at the baggage check point we were asked a few questions and were welcomed to portland. |

Some of the officers are nice, we unfortunately got a mean one. He was not friendly and didn't understand that my husband didn't understand English. If you work at the Immigration area, I think you should be more understanding for non-English speaking immigrants. |
