I arrived at the airport four hours before my flight just to be safe. The pre inspection took about 10 minutes - fingerprints, couple questions, officer reiterated K1 etc. I then proceeded to the secondary inspection room where I waited for just over an hour. My yellow envelope had a tear of about an inch and a half in it to which the officer questioned if I had opened it. I told him no and that it was already that way. He asked me a couple questions about where we met, the address we would be living at, what my fiance does and then my passport was stamped and we were all done. Overall, it was a simple enough experience. The two officers were very straight forward and intense and while the lady from the first inspection warmed up towards the end, the gentleman in secondary inspection was having none of it. My advice to anyone travelling through Pearson is to arrive as early as possible. There were a couple people in the room who narrowly missed their flights despite arriving the recommended hour early! |
