We heard that JFK was a good POE but there are so many international flights coming in that my husband was in the Immigration room for 4 HOURS waiting to be processed. I got nervous since I couldn't speak to him. Finally I asked someone from Royal Air Maroc to check if he was there and if everything was OK. Luckily, everything was fine but it took way too long with 1 officer trying to process 60-70 people and each person taking 5-10 minutes. So, it might take longer than you think if it's a busy time at the airport. |

Got off plane at around 830pm, waited for the immigration officer for about an hour and 30 min. What he did didnt took long only 5minues (finger print and something to sign)
My husband quite anxious when i finally saw him, he was thinking i was actually lost on my way.
Except for the long waiting, I cant remember anything bad experience and OH! Almost forgot custom officer questioned the pinipig (rice crispy) i have on my checked in luggage, they cleared me anyways they just had to ripped off my box. |

Though we did not receive any harassment what so ever, the process was not as smooth as we anticipated. We crossed at 5:30am at Lewiston, and even though there were only 3 people ahead of us, we did not get out of there until 8:30am!!! They were very unorganized and S-L-O-W!!! No one seemed too eager to work lol! Perhaps it was very early? I will say that they were very friendly, but no one seemed to know what they were doing. It is an older location, so once you are in there, you even need to physically be escorted to their outdoor bathrooms! They had to refer to manuals to import my car...and at first even had me start filing out a livestock form for horses by mistake! One person was saying I had to pay duties on my car and they argued that point for a while...We finally got a wonderful young fella that figured everything out and got it done for us. I will say, BE PREPARED! I had to walk them through some of the stuff, just from my knowledge from VJ! lol! In the end, they didn't even ask to see my inventory sheets I had compiled for all my personal belongings in our two cars...all in all, they were very pleasant, just not very organized. In the end, I am just thankful to have closed yet another chapter in my Visa Journey :) |

No problems at all, was taken to the secondary processing area where I waited about 10 mins for the officer to open the brown envelope look through the paperwork and give me my passport back. |

It took around 45 minutes and that was mainly because the Custom's Officer was teaching another lady how to process CR-1's. |
