Heidy & Alex Orlando 2012-06-17 Yes,Passport Stamp Yes - High Arrived at Orlando International Airport and proceeded to the Citizens/Resident line. There were only very few people compared to the tourists/visitors line. So we waited our turn and were called up to one of the Immigration windows. There a nice CBP Officer greeted us and took both of our passports and the mysterious brown envelope. I told him I was coming with my wife and that she was a "first-time entry permanent resident" and he seemed to like the "heads up" I gave him. He replied: Thanks! Then he took my wife's right hand finger prints and took a photo for their system. After this he walked us to some immigration office inside the Airport and we waited there for a couple of minutes. After about 15 minutes another CBP Officer called my wife up to a counter where she was instructed to sign the I-551 Form front and back and he took her right index print twice (This is for the Green Card). She was told to seat and about 10 minutes later we were called again to the counter. There the CBP Officer explained to her that she was a "Conditional Resident" because we had been married for less than 2 years. He briefly explained the process on how to Remove Conditions, how to get a SSN, and approximate time of how much the Green Card would take to arrive in the mail. Finally, the CBP Officer returned the passport back to my wife with the endorsement stamp on it and he said: You're now a Resident of the United States. You can travel at any time, go on vacation, but keep in mind that this is now you're "place of residence" so you're expected to spend the great majority of the year in the US. And that was it! We exited the Immigration Office, claimed our bags, and headed Home!! Wohoo! So Happy! 2016-11-29
