My wife said everyone was very nice and polite to her, no problems at all. Took about a hour and 1/2 total due to her being one of the last ones in line. Took her fingerprints, ask a few questions, got her home address and then welcomed her to America. |

The border officer was not happy with anything I said. He grilled me about my life in Korea, had difficulty with the fact I'm Australian but had a visa issued from south Korea, said my Affidavit of Support was bellow poverty (it wasn't even close to being that low), and told me my visa had expired even though it had only been issued about a week prior. He took my file away and talked to some people. Coming back, he asked me to spell my wife's name (more than once) and continued to make me believe I couldn't enter. After nearly ten minutes of grilling, he finally stamped my passport, took my papers and told me to go. It was not pleasant in the slightest. |
