John & Samantha Philadelphia 2010-06-10 No Yes - High The lines are always long at the immigration booths here and always, without fail, i manage to get the longest one. It probably took me about 30-45 minutes to get up to the window and the officer was like "Oh no a visa !!" (He was kidding of course...) He opened my envelope asked me a few questions and then took me to the "Further Processing" room and handed me over (lol) they took all my stuff, i sat down (was really nervous at this point, "oh god I'm going to get a cavity search and then sent back home oh god oh god" ...ridiculous i know...) 10 minutes later I got called up, the officer asked me a few questions got me to sign a few papers, he signed my k1 visa page and then that was it... collected my bags and went through those "International Arrival Hall" , life changing doors, one last time and thought "...this is it...!" 2011-01-14

Haroon&Sophia Sophia & Haroon Detroit 2010-06-13 Yes - High The officer just mentioned 2 things: 1)You're on K-1 and therefore have to get married within 90 days 2)Once you are married and your I-94 expires you need to leave the country & wait for your green card back home. On the second allegation, I replied: "Officer, I was actually advised my the American Embassy NOT to leave the US till I receive my GC." He replied: "I know my job, I do this every day." Me:"OK officer, thanks, have a great day." OBVIOUSLY, I did NOT HAVE to leave the country, duh!!!! 2012-10-22
